CBSE national Girls' Football Tournament Day-3

Third day of CBSE national Girls' Football Tournament On the third day of CBSE National Girls' Football Tournament, the matches for U 19 category started at 8:00 a.m on 11 November 2019. In the first match,Jawahar Hr Secondary School, Neyveli, Tamil Nadu prevailed over Global Indian International School,Pune 5-0. Step by Step School, Noida, U.P. lost to Ryan International School, Navi Mumbai 0-4. Modern School, Vasant Vihar, Delhi edged NavRachna School, Vadodara, Gujarat 4-3 on penalty shootout. Ahlcon Public School, Mayur Vihar, Delhi emerged as a strong Challenger to Accord School, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh defeating them with their score of 6-0. In the series of quarter final matches,in the first quarter final match, Father Agnel school, Greater Noida, UP knocked out Somerville School, Delhi 2-0 to reach semi-final. In the second quarter final match, Vidyagyan School, Bulandshahar, UP won penalty shootout overcoming Stanford International School, Sonipat 5-4 to secure a semi-final. In the third quarter final match, P S Secondary School, Chennai went round thrashing Vidyagyan School, Sitapur 5-1. In the fourth quarter final match, Vatsalya International School, Anand, Gujarat trounced Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri, Delhi in penalty shootout 4-3. Each team participated with complete vigour and anticipation to win. The zealous crowd constantly applauded the young stars. The school playground was reverberating the sounds of cheers which made everyone's day. It has been an eventful day at given Global School with the teams looking forward for the semifinal rounds.
